Privacy Policy

GamePatchLab (“we”, “us”) operates gamepatchlab.com. This policy explains what data is handled when you visit.

What we collect

This is a static website. We do not require accounts, we do not set marketing cookies, and we do not run third-party advertising trackers. We do use Google Analytics to measure visits, as explained below.

  • Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes standard request data (IP address, user agent, and requested URL) to serve and secure the site. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy for details.
  • Email. If you email us at admin@gamepatchlab.com, we receive your address and whatever you send. We use it only to reply, and we don’t add you to any list.
  • Version Lock waitlist. Only if you sign up. See the next section.
  • Analytics. Google Analytics measures how the site is used. See the Analytics section.

Version Lock waitlist

Joining the waitlist is optional. When you join, we store:

  • your email address
  • the games and mod count range you picked, if any
  • the date you signed up

We use this only to email you about Version Lock, like early access and launch news, and to decide which games to support first. It is stored with Cloudflare, our hosting provider. We never sell it or share it for marketing.

If we use an email delivery service to send these emails, it handles your address only to deliver them. Every email has an unsubscribe link.

We keep your signup until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to see which guides people read and whether they join the Version Lock waitlist. It sets first-party cookies (named _ga and similar) and records the pages you view, how you arrived, your rough location, your device and browser, and actions like joining the waitlist.

If you visit from the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Google Analytics sets no cookies unless you click Allow on our cookie banner. If you click No thanks, your visits don’t load Google Analytics at all. We remember your choice in your browser’s local storage, and you can change your cookie choice at any time.

Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. We never send your email address or anything else you type into a form to Google Analytics.

Google handles this data under its privacy policy. You can block it with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, your browser’s privacy settings or a content blocker.

Guides link to third-party sites (game stores, mod repositories, developer pages). Their privacy practices are their own, so check their policies.

Your rights

You can ask us what information we hold about you (usually nothing beyond any email you’ve sent or your waitlist signup) and ask us to delete it. Contact admin@gamepatchlab.com.
